Missed Lessons (Absences)

When registering for a lesson, your booking guarantees that spot for you. Therefore, we do not offer credits for absences.

However, we understand that emergencies arise, and children get sick, so as a courtesy, we do offer makeup lessons, subject to availability and the following provisions

• You must have given us notice before 9AM the day of the lesson, by email to play@advantagetennis.com.au
• Makeup Lessons will be in a group class during the same term
• We do not reschedule/do make up lessons for private lessons, but offer a group lesson instead
  
• You must contact us to request makeup lesson availability within 3 days of the absence

We will only be able to offer a make up lesson for your absence where we have a similar suitable class with a spot available. We cannot guarantee a make up lesson will be available, and if we have no such class, no credit will be given.

Cancelled Lessons (Inclement Weather/Other Cancellations)

Cancellations

• Lessons may be cancelled due to inclement weather, such as
• Extreme Heat (over 35 C (WBGT) or ambient temperature 36 C or greater, as recorded by the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM))
• Heavy Rain, or Rain that has rendered the tennis courts not suitable for use
• Air Quality, such as smoky conditions, as measured by the NSW Department of Planning, Industry & Environment
• On very hot days, (not considered Extreme Heat), lessons will proceed, but may be modified appropriately by the coach
• Lessons may be cancelled due to staff availability ie. sickness

Notice

• Whenever a lesson is cancelled, you will be notified by SMS. Cancellations due to weather may be made right up to the start of the lesson, to give every chance of going ahead.
• You are resonsible for ensuring your contact details are up to date with us.
• If you have not received an SMS from us, you should assume that lessons are on.

Make Up Lesson for Cancellations

• If your lesson is cancelled by us for any reason, you will be provided with the opportunity to book into a make-up lesson within the same term (week 10 cancellations will be made up the following term)
• Make-up lesson days will be pre-determined at the start of each term and are available on our term schedule: https://www.advantagetennis.com.au/term-schedule
• If the amount of lessons cancelled exceeds the number of make-up lessons days available, then you will receive a credit on your account.
• No credit will be applied for non-attendance of make-up lessons available.
• Make-up lessons must be taken in the same term (except for week 10 cancellations).
